The Sudbury Community Food Pantry gratefully acknowledges that it has been awarded a $5,000 grant by the trustees of the Sudbury Foundation through the Herbert and Esther Atkinson Fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, which will be used towards the purchase of food and other essentials needed to best serve our clients.
Upon the heels of September’s being Hunger Awareness month, both Sudbury synagogues, Congregation Beth El and Congregation B’nai Torah, sponsored their annual food drives on October 9th. The Sudbury Community Food Pantry, being one of four nonprofit organizations to whom each of the synagogues donated food, gratefully received over 100 bags of groceries and personal care products – mostly focusing on items which are particularly popular and harder to obtain. Thank you to all who participated.
Staff and parents of Bright Horizons of Sudbury (preschool), donated food, paper goods and personal care products to our Food Pantry, which items were collected during September “Hunger Awareness” Month.
We celebrate beginning the 4th year of our partnership with Hope & Comfort (hopeandcomfort.org, of Needham), which provides us with personal hygiene products on a monthly basis.
The Sudbury Community Food Pantry welcomes a partnership with Dignity Matters (dignity-matters.org, of Framingham), which will be providing us with feminine hygiene products on a monthly basis.
