The Sudbury Community Food Pantry welcomes a partnership with Dignity Matters (dignity-matters.org, of Framingham), which will be providing us with feminine hygiene products on a monthly basis.
Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley “Stuff a Cruiser” food drive benefits the clients of the Sudbury Community Food Pantry
On Saturday Aug 24th, the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, held its second annual “Stuff a Cruiser” food drive, organized by Howard Kendall. Together with the support of Target Painting, Sudbury Farms supermarket, the Sudbury Police and the local community, 2 3/4 cruisers were filled with food, and almost $600.00 was collected, for the benefit of the clients of the Sudbury Community Food Pantry. These very generous donations were particularly appreciated since it came on the heels of a very busy summer.
Foundation for MetroWest Collaborates With The Sudbury Community Food Pantry To Address Hunger
The Sudbury Community Food Pantry (SCFP) has received a $4,500 grant from the Foundation for MetroWest. The grant will be used to purchase food and personal care products for individuals and familes served by the SCFP.
During the past year, the SCFP, served 911 familes and 2,691 individuals from over 50 surrounding cities and towns. The SCFP is 100% operated by volunteers with no paid staff. Established in 1995, the Foundation for MetroWest serves 33 cities and towns in the region, promoting philanthropy, helping donors maximize the impact of their local giving and enhancing the quality of life for all. Since inception, the Foundation has granted $15 million to charitable organizations and currently stewards more than $22 million in charitable assets for current needs and future impact. Sudbury Elementary Schools Support the Pantry
All four elementary schools conduct a monthly food drive (during the Sept-June school year) to support the Sudbury Community Food Pantry. These schools (students, teachers, and of course parents) were particularly dedicated this June and donated 7159 items. Thanks to all, on behalf of the pantry and our clients!! This will help ensure that our shelves remain fully stocked over the summer months.

To our numerous, supporters, donors, and our all-volunteer, staff who made our 2018 programs, successful– THANK YOU. You are our champions and we look forward to working together in 2019 and beyond.
The Sudbury Community Food Pantry celebrated its 28th anniversary in 2018. The 91 volunteers, contributed 6,422 hours, in order, to serve our clients. Their commitment and dedication has enabled us to aid people who are struggling financially by providing them with wholesome food and personal care items that promote healthy living and doing so in a manner that respects their dignity. We have heard on numerous occasions from our clients and our peers in other towns that clients of their pantry have described the Sudbury food pantry as a place with a friendly and welcoming environment.
