You will be served in an atmosphere of caring and mutual respect by friendly and understanding volunteers.
On your first visit, you will be asked a few questions such as your name, family size and residence. No photo ID or proof of need will be required. After this short in-take, you will be issued a Sudbury Community Food Pantry ID card with your name and town of residence. You will be asked to bring this card with you to future visits.
We offer not just nonperishable food items but also bread, eggs, dairy, frozen meat, and personal care products. In the summer we typically have fresh organic vegetables from local farms. Each time you use the pantry the products may change a little, but our clients generally leave with 7 or 8 large shopping bags of groceries. This is an open shelf pantry, meaning you choose the items you want.
